What They’re Saying

Coach Peach on Matt Joeckel:
“The three years that Matt was our quarterback, we were 9-1 in games decided by seven points or less. When a big play needed to be made in a game, he made it. He was going to do whatever it took to get us down the field. There were a few games where we didn’t move the ball well but, at the end of the game, on our last drive, he would make a big play. He can make every throw in the book. He’s got a strong arm and is extremely accurate. He makes a lot of receivers a lot better football players because of the way he puts the ball on them.”

Matt Joeckel:
“I’m ready to show what I have.  I’m ready to show that I’m a hard worker and that I’m ready and willing to get out there and compete.  That’s what A&M is all about – competing — and that’s what I’m ready for.  I’m looking forward to just playing football … just strapping on the pads and getting after it.”
