What They’re Saying
Coach Allison on Malcome Kennedy:
“I think it’s a great fit. He’s 6-0, 200 pounds and he’s bench pressing 330 pounds. He has the ability if you split him out wide, he can go up and get it. But he’s also very shifty so if you put him in the slot, he can catch the ball in space and make people miss. There are lots of areas where A&M can move him to different spots and use him in the motion schemes, where they can hand him the ball. With what A&M does, and Malcome does, he’s just a perfect fit that can fall into many different areas.”
Malcome Kennedy:
“I really enjoyed getting to go on my official down there. I spent a lot of time with Coach Cromwell and he told me I’d be playing inside receiver. He said he was looking forward to working with me. I also met a lot of the players and hung out with them. I hung out with Eazy (Uzoma Nwachukwu), Jeff Fuller and a bunch of others. They all showed me a good time. I also got to look at the academic center and ask questions about academics, and they showed me all about how they can help me get acquainted to everything. It was great.” (On Cayuga winning the state title) “It was really a blessing this year and a special season. To make it to the championship game and lose the year before was heartbreaking. Then to start the season with a loss after coming out ranked number one, people started to doubt us. But then we got it together, came back and won the championship and it was the best feeling ever. To overcome that adversity and rise to the top was something I’ll never forget.”
