Every day I am reminded by friends and supporters of our program of just how special Texas A&M Soccer players really are. I’m not just talking about their prowess on the soccer pitch, but more about the way our ladies carry themselves as representatives of their families, teammates, and our university in general.

Now that the Christmas Season is here, I’d like to thank everyone once again for all the support you’ve provided our players, staff, and families. At this time of year its especially gratifying to see how the A&M Soccer Family has flourished and grown over the past year. Many of my staff and former players now have kids, some only recently born, and we’re very excited about those families and the promise of their futures.
Here’s a little list of some of the additions and exciting news items about our extended Aggie Soccer Family…
While in town for the 2009 NCAA Women’s College Cup, we want you to enjoy Aggieland. So, I have some suggestions and web links for you to visit while you’re here. Emily Peterson was selected as one of 10 finalists for the prestigious Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award. The Tulsa, Okla., native was chosen by a national media committee from the list of 30 women’s soccer candidates that were announced in April. She was the only finalist selected from a Big 12 institution.
The nationawide vote runs today through November 13. Fan balloting will be available on the award’s official Web site,

Texas A&M is home of the best gameday atmosphere in NCAA Soccer. The aggies are averaging crowds of over 3,600 in 2009 – that’s more 100+ people more than available seats!
Year in and year out, Texas A&M soccer fans continue to fill up The Aggie Soccer Stadium, often setting new national attendance records. Last year, 7 of the nation’s 10 biggest college soccer crowds were at Aggie games. And, the all time regular season attendance record was set here in 2006 when 8,204 fans helped the Aggies beat North Carolina 1-0 in overtime.
The current Texas A&M soccer roster has 14 players who have earned National Team experience. It’s a great feeling knowing that we have a program that attracts and develops some of the best soccer players in the world.
