Gameday at The Aggie Soccer Stadium = WOW!

img_13791Year in and year out, Texas A&M soccer fans continue to fill up The Aggie Soccer Stadium, often setting new national attendance records.  Last year, 7 of the nation’s 10 biggest college soccer crowds were at Aggie games.  And, the all time regular season attendance record was set here in 2006 when 8,204 fans helped the Aggies beat North Carolina 1-0 in overtime.

This past weekend, nearly 10,000 fans came through the gates of the stadium to yell for their Aggies.  On Friday night, almost 7,000 folks packed around the pitch to see the A&M-Purdue game, and then about 3,000 more came out on a warm Sunday afternoon to see us beat UTSA.

Seeing the stadium full is a common sight each fall.  So, every summer we try to enhance and improve the stadium as well as the fans’ gameday experience, so that everyone feels like they are having an impact on the action and results of each match.

img_1438Being a member of the 12th Man at Texas A&M is a “participation sport” in itself.  Our students don’t sit on their hands quietly and just observe a game – they stand the entire 90 minutes (plus overtime if needed), they sing, they sway, and They YELL!!!!

If you haven’t been to a home soccer game in Aggieland, well this fall is the right time for you!
